$3.75/lb (hanging wt.) + processing costs paid to locker

Includes: Your beef processed the way you would like. For example, you have the option of 2 to 4 lb roasts. Ground beef in 1 or 2 lb packages. Steaks 1 or 2 per package and 3/4 or 1″ thick, if you prefer. You can have more or less turned into ground beef depending on what meets your families needs best. The lockers are great at walking you through your options.

Hanging weights on our quarters average around 200 lbs. We would expect the final take home amount to be around 55-65% of the hanging wt. This is hard to estimate exactly because each animal is different. It also varies a lot depending on what cuts are chosen during processing.

More boneless, thinly cut, or specialty cuts (dried beef, beef sticks, hamburger patties, etc.) all increase processing costs. Quarters typically cost an extra $0.10/ lb more than halves or wholes for processing.
